What I do for my kids...Or How am I not watching SPN live tomorrow?

Tomorrow is the 8th grade dance at my school. I love my kids (well, it's May, so I love most of them) and I can't say no when they ask me to chaperone. And one of my good friends/colleagues is in charge of it all, so I also owe her some loyalty. But on the night of the 2 HOUR season finale? Really?

Result: my DVR better work. Last year when I was in Chicago for a few days, I made my friend go back to the hotel to watch the finale.

It is interesting that although I still love the show and the guys, in past years I would have said no to the Dance.

Lol, maybe you are getting wise and mature in your advancing years? :p. That sucks though, ugh bad timing! :( I can't watch it live either because just, no, staying up until 5 am for a bad stream and such...:/ I stay up that late for the Oscars, or a presidential election or something, but especially when I'm almost done here in Europe I hate to miss a day by staying up all night watching TV--I wish this special 2-hour even were happening another year...:/

Kudos for dealing with 8th graders though, lol. I feel like Middle School is the worst age!

Wow, time got away from me. The dance is always entertaining because I love seeing the kids all dressed up thinking they look so cool. And the DVR worked fine. I admit to being a bit disappointed in the finale though. Am hoping to like it better on second viewing.

And if the DVR doesn't work, then you can always download. There's usually one available within 30 minutes after an episode airs.

It worked fine. The dance was entertaining. The kids always think they are so sophisticated, all dressed up. Of course, that is highly amusing, since they are 13-14.
